Eligibility and Basis of Admission

  1. Minimum Academic Qualification for B.E./B.Tech. :

Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognised Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:
(a)    Chemistry
(b)   Bio-Technology
(c)    Computer Science
(d)   Biology
For admission to B.E./B. Tech. Bio-Technology, the candidates should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects:
(a)    Chemistry
(b)    Bio-Tech.
(c)    Computer Science
Basis of Admission for B.E. /B. Tech.:
Admission shall be made on the basis of the inter-se-merit of AIEEE-2009.
            Eligibility and Basis of Admission in B. Arch.
Haryana Govt. general rules/guidelines specified in Prospectus/Admission Brochure -2009 for Engineering/Technical Courses issued by Department of Technical Education, (Haryana State Counselling Society)  Haryana shall be followed in the matters of reservation policies, requirement of certificates for various reservations and criteria for preparation of Merit List etc. Kindly refer websites : www.dtehry.nic.inwww.hscs.orgwww.techadmission.gov.inhttp://techeduhry.nic.in.
Minimum eligibility for admission to B. Arch.
(i).  10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks.
                                                OR
10+3 Diploma (Any stream) recognized by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate
marks.
                                                OR
International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
(ii).       Merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of +2 and NATA score on the ratio
50:50.
(iii).      In order to pass NATA Test a candidate must obtain minimum of 40% marks.
Eligibility Conditions

Candidates holding the following qualification shall be eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Degree Courses:
M. Tech. Programme
Bachelor’s degree in relevant branch of Engineering /Technology from any Indian University included in the approved list of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or any foreign University recognized by this University for purpose of admission to this course scoring at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Seats will first be filled by GATE-qualified candidates and the remaining vacant seats shall be offered to other non-GATE candidates.
  • For GATE-qualified candidates, a merit list of the eligible candidates will be drawn on the basis of the Valid Gate Score.
  • All non-GATE candidates will be admitted on merit list drawn on the basis of an objective type test of one hour duration in the discipline seeking admission to be held at University on the date of first counseling.
In this the students who have appeared / appearing in qualifying degree exam are also eligible to appear in the test for seeking admission in M Tech. The admission will be made on the merit list of admission test. However, the selected candidates have to submit their documents certifying he/she has passed the qualifying degree examination with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate latest by August 31, 2009.
  • CGPA of the qualifying examination, wherever applicable, will be converted into equivalent marks by appropriate conversion table / formula.
  • If seats still remain vacant in any of the disciplines will be filled on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination in the second counseling.
  • If the reserved seats remain vacant in second counseling, the same shall be open to general category candidates in the third counseling which will be held just immediately after the second counseling on the same day.
  • Fresh merit list will be prepared for each counseling incorporating the previously received valid applications.
  • The candidate applying under Sponsored Category seat must produce a Sponsoring Certificate from their respective employer.


M. Arch.
            Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate from any institution/University recognized by council of Architecture.
Master in Health Facilities Planning and Design
Bachelor degree in Architecture and equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate from any institution/University recognized by council of Architecture.
OR
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate from any institution/University recognized by AICTE.

Master in Hospital Administration
The admission to the first semester of MHA programme will be open to the candidates who have passed:
(i)                  MD/MS/MBBS/BDS/ BAMS/ B.VSc./ BPT/ B.Pharma/BHMS or any equivalent degree (as deemed flt considered by the Equivalence Committee of the University) in any branch from any Indian University included in the approved list of the association of Indian Universities or any foreign University reorganized by the Academic Council of the University for purpose of admission to this course securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or appropriate grade equivalent to 50% marks in credit based system.
(ii)                Admission to this programme will be made on academic merit of qualifying examination:
However, the preference can be given according to the following order:-
(a)                MD/MS Doctors
(b)               MBBS/BDS
(c)                B.VSc.
(d)               BAMS/BPT/B. Pharma/BHMS
MBA (ITM):
The admission to the first semester MBA (ITM) programme will be open to the candidates who have passed:
(i)                  B. Tech./B.E./AMIE/MCA/M.Sc. (IT/Comp. Sc.)/ M.Sc. (Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics)/M.A. (Economics/ Psychology/ Mathematics) /M. Com/BCA/ B.Sc. (Com. Sc.)/BBA or any equivalent degree (as deemed fit considered by the Equivalence Committee of the University) in any branch from any branch from any Indian University included in the approved list of the Association of Indian Universities or any foreign University reorganized by the Academic Council of the University for purpose of admission to this course securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or appropriate grade equivalent to 50% marks in credit based system.
(ii)                Admission to this programme will be made on academic merit of qualifying examination:
However, the preference can be given to according to the following order:

Admission will be made strictly on the basis of Entrance Test. Students with Honours in English in qualifying examination would, however, be given weightage of additional 5%.

NOTE:  Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying examination shall be provided to SC /
   ST candidates as per Haryana Govt. rules in all courses.
