Gate 2013 notification (register online)


    Gate 2013 notification is out or is going to be out Main points :
  • 16 streams will be conducted Online.
    ( Online papers: AE, AG, AR, BT, CE, CH, CY, GG, MA, MN, MT, PH, TF, XE, and XL; Offline papers: CS, EC, EE, IN , ME, and PI )
  • Only 6 streams will be conducted Offline.
    ( Offline papers: CS, EC, EE, IN , ME, and PI) .
  • No Application Fee for female applicants
    The application fee is
  • Rupee Symbol 1200 for General/OBC male applicants and
  • Rupee Symbol 600 for SC/ST/PD male applicants.
  • Validity of GATE 2013 score will be for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of announcement of results.

    What's New in GATE 2013?
  • 15 subject papers will be conducted by an ONLINE computer based test: AE, AG, AR, BT, CE, CH, CY, GG, MA, MN, MT, PH, TF, XE, and XL. Like the previous year the online examination will also contain a few questions where a numerical answer must be provided (instead of a choice from A,B,C,D).
  • Female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
  • All candidate related information and grievance redressal will be available in a single GATE Online Applicant Interface. (What is it?)
  • Applicant photograph and signature must be uploaded during online application.
  • A new formula will be used for calculating the GATE score.
  • Biometric information (Photograph and fingerprint) maybe captured before the examination for randomly selected candidates.
    Changes in GATE 2012 that will continue to remain in force for GATE 2013.
  • Application Process: For GATE 2013, as in GATE 2012, candidates need to register and fill the application ONLINE only by accessing the zonal GATE websites of IISc and seven IITs. The application process is complete only when a print out of the filled ONLINE application with the candidate signature and a good quality photo affixed in the appropriate place is received by the respective GATE office along with necessary documents, if any, on or before 8 October 2012. Please note that application forms are NOT available for sale anywhere.
  • Downloadable Admit Card: Admit cards are NOT sent by mail anymore. Admit cards can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites from 5th December 2012. Bring the admit card to the test center along with at least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification.
  • Use of black ink ball point pen for Offline exams: The use of pencils to darken the bubbles in the answer sheet for offline has been discontinued since GATE 2012. Candidates should use only black ink ball point pen for darkening of the bubbles in the answer sheet. Since bubbles darkened by the black ink ball point pen cannot be erased, candidates should darken the bubbles in the answer sheet very carefully.
  • Numerical answer type questions in ONLINE papers: In the ONLINE papers, the question paper will consist of questions of multiple choice type and questions of numerical answer type. For multiple choice type questions, each question will have four choices for the answer. For numerical answer type questions, each question will have a number as the answer. Each online paper will have 15 or more marks worth of questions requiring numerical answers where possible.
  • Pre-final year students: Pre-final year students are NOT eligible to write GATE 2013. For details, refer to eligibility for GATE examination.

1. Please read the instructions and procedures carefully before you start filling the Online Application  Form.
2. Candidates can apply for CTET-NOV 2012 ‘ON-LINE’ through CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 01.08.2012 to 31.08.2012.

For ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION - www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in
Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ at Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number after successful submission of data. The Confirmation page is sent to CBSE.
3. Examination Fees

4. Before submitting online application, you must have the bank draft for the required fees in hand.
5. Please ensure before dispatching the Confirmation Page that:-
(i) The candidate has signed the Confirmation Page at the specified place.
(ii) The candidate has pasted the recent passport size photograph on the space earmarked for it.
(iii) The candidate has attached the Demand Draft of the required fee. Write your Registration Number, Name, Address, Mobile No. on the back side of Demand Draft.
(iv) The candidate has kept a photocopy of the Confirmation Page for use as reference for future correspondence.
The Confirmation Page must be dispatched in an Envelope of size 12”x9” only and Superscribing “APPLICATION FOR CTET- NOV 2012”.
6. The Confirmation Page, complete in all respect, along with Demand Draft should be sent through Registered/Speed Post only so as to reach positively by 07.09.2012 in the CBSE office addressed to;

How to Apply
On-line Application filling and On-line Choice filling for admission to B Ed 2012, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra
Registration
  1. Visit the website www.hbed2012.org or www.hbed2012.net or kuk.ac.in
  2. Read the “Schedule”, “Prospectus” and “How to apply” thoroughly. Visit these websites frequently for latest updates. Admissions will be purely ONLINE. No written information will be sent to the candidates by post. Merit, allotment letter etc can only be downloaded.
  3. New candidates have to register fresh by pressing button “New Registration”. Fill all fields like name, father’s name, address, qualifying exam details etc. Mandatory fields are marked with a small red star.
  4. The seats shall be distributed as 1) Haryana General: 85%. Bonafide Residents of Haryana come under this Category. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from a University in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and will not be required to submit certificate of Bonafide residents of Haryana. 2) All India Category: 15%
  5. Your merit will depend on the percentage of your qualifying exam. Higher percentage amongst your UG / PG result will be taken. So fill details of all exams passed.
  6. Fee payment section. You have OBC bank, ICICI bank and PNB bank with Challan option for paying fees. A Challan of the selected bank will be printed at the end. You have to visit any branch of that bank and pay the fee of Rs 1010 (For general candidates who are Bonafide residents of Haryana and for all candidates of All India Category) or Rs 635 (For SC, BC and PH candidates who are Bonafide residents of Haryana). (Rs 10 are added in this amount as bank charges). After paying fee, take candidate’s and University’s copy of challan duly stamped by the bank. Make sure that Date, Bank Branch code and Transaction code is clearly mentioned on it. Your fee will be reconciled with the bank. In case of problem you may be asked to produce your challan copy as proof.
  7. When you complete the application, RECHECK all fields. Then press the button, “Submit to Generate Application No. and Password”. Your Application no. and password will be generated. They will be displayed on the screen and will be sent to you through email and SMS as well. In case the application cannot be submitted then you must have left some field blank. Scroll up and complete the field marked with a red star or message in red colour. Then resubmit.
  • Keep the Application No. and Password safely with you. It will be required a number of times to log in and download different items. To log in you have to give your Application number and Password in the space provided in login section.
  1. After this take a printout of the application (for your reference) and bank’s challan showing the fees to be deposited in your chosen bank.
  • In case you forget your Application no. and / or Password, you can get them by pressing the button, “Forgot Password”. They will be emailed to your registered email address.
  1. On the top of Home page you can see different buttons like, “Home”, “Prospectus”, “Colleges”, “Key dates“How to Apply”, “Seat Matrix”, “Bank List”, “Advertisement” and “Help desk”. You can refer to them anytime for necessary guidelines.
Choice Filling
  1. After you deposit your fees in the bank, it takes 1 to 2 days to reconcile your payment. So after depositing your fee you should visit the website again after a minimum gap of ONE DAY. You should Login and you will be directed to the choice filling page.
  2. In case your payment is not reconciled by then, you should go to tab “My Status”. Press the button “Fill Transaction ID” and fill in your Transaction ID. If it matches with the bank record then you will be directed to the choice filling page.  If you still find any problem, report it to the helpline.
  3. You can call the helpline nos. 09571366580, 09571366678, 09571367026, 09571367223, 09571443083, 09571443382, 09571443524, 09571443581, 09571444228, 09571444625 (8 AM to 8 PM) for technical problems related to filling of Onine Application Form. Once you are logged in, you can also report about any Technical Problem through the button, “Report your Problem”.
  4. Press “Add New Choice” to add new record. Select the desired District and then desired College and Press “UPDATE” button. This shall be repeated for adding each new college. You can press button “Save Choices” in between and again start adding choices by pressing “Modify Choices”.  Finally save the choices selected. There is no compulsion of selecting number of choices.
  5. Candidates are permitted to change preference of their Colleges, delete and add new Colleges any number of times before the last date / time and till they lock their choices.
  • ‘Add New Choice’ Button is used for adding new College.
  • ‘Remove All Choices’ Button is used for removing all Colleges chosen earlier.
  • Interchange Choices’ Button is used to interchange the two Colleges selected. You have to select the Colleges to be interchanged, by clicking the boxes in ‘Select’ column.
  • Edit Button’ is used to change the College selected earlier.
    • After using edit option ‘Update’ and ‘Cancel’ Button will be displayed in its place. ‘Update Button’ is used to update the changed College. ‘Cancel Button’ is used to cancel the change done.
  • Delete Button’ is used to delete the College chosen earlier.
  • Up Button’ will shift your College choice up by one serial number.
  • Down Button’ will shift your College choice down by one serial number.
  • After all operations ‘Save Button’ is used to save the final choices. It is necessary to save the choices displayed on Computer screen before closing the website otherwise all information will be lost.
  1. At the end press “Logout” to end the internet session. In case you forget to do so the next candidate will not be able to fill fresh form on the same computer.
  • Candidates can Log in and take printout of their application / challan / College Choices any no. of times. They can modify their choices any no of times before the last date. They can online check the status of their application - whether it has been received by us or not.
Merit generation and Seat Allotment
  1. On the scheduled date Merit list will be prepared and displayed. All candidates should verify their details. If your name has not appeared in the list then immediately inform us and send a scanned copy of your challan and application printout to bedKurukshetra2012@gmail.com
  2. On the scheduled date of counseling, the locked choices will be processed. The list of candidates along with allotted College will be displayed on this website. Allotment will be done on the basis of Merit, Choices and available seats.
  3. Candidates should download their allotment letter from the website. They should pay the college fee and approach the allotted college with in permitted time.
  4. If required the website may remain closed from 7 PM to 8 PM for regular maintenance.

Physical Counseling after 21/08/2012 for the vacant seats will be held only for two categories (AIC & HOGC) after merging the reserved categories to HOGC. Seats still remaining vacant (if any) after 25/08/2012, shall be displayed on website on 28-08-2012. These seats will be filled up on 29-08-2012 at 10:00 AM, out of applicants who have already applied for physical counseling till 17-08-2012 after merging all categories and no fresh applications shall be considered.

The candidates are required to report for counseling in the Seminar Room, 2nd Floor, Vikram Sarabhai Block, in the university with full semester fee of Rs. 45800/-(day scholar) / Rs. 47800/-(Hosteller) in the form of Demand Draft only in favour of REGISTRAR, DCRUST, Murthal payable at SBI, Murthal(Bank Code 14374). All other documents are to be brought as mentioned in the HSCS brochure. The students already admitted to the DCRUST, Murthal in previous counselings need not to submit any fee/document, but they have to apply in the prescribed form by paying Rs. 600/-by demand draft only.

(B)    For admission to increased seats in M.Sc (Hons) Mathematics (5 - years integrated) Admissions shall be made on the basis of academic merit of the qualifying examination (i.e 10+2 or equivalent) Interested candidates will fill up the prescribed application form and will submit the same in the Department of Mathematics on 13.08.2012. Ist counseling shall be held on same day at 11.00A.M as per reservation policy upto 11.00 A.M.The IInd counseling for the above programme shall held at 2.30 P.M. on the same day i.e. 13.08.2012 after converting all the reserved seats in the General Category.

(C)   Vacant seats in Master of Architecture (Sustainable Architecture) and Master of Urban and Rural Planning.  Admissions to these seats will be made on the basis of ‘first come first serve ‘basis from eligible candidates. The candidates can apply directly to the department of Architecture upto August 31, 2012.
