Unit I: Biogas - Aerobic and anaerobic bio-conversion processes, raw materials, properties of biogas (Calorific value and composition), biogas technology and status.
Unit II: Geothermal Energy - Hot springs and steam ejection, site selection, power plants, advanced concept.
Unit III: Solar Energy: Principles, scope and applications.
Unit IV: Fusion: Nuclear reactions, Fuels Ignition temperature. Confinement schemes: Current status.
Unit V: Hydrogen Energy: Principles, scopes and applications.
Unit VI: Wind, Hydro and Tidal Energies; Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC).

Unit I: Biomass/Coal gasification Technology: Thermo-chemical conversion of Biomass/Coal pyrolysis & gasification. Principles of combustion, solid, liquid and gaseous fuels.
Unit II: Coal as a source of energy and chemicals in India. Coal/Biomass preparation. Carbonisation, gasification and liquefaction of coal, biomass and lignite.
Unit III: Petroleum and its derived products. Inter conversion of fuels.
Unit IV: Natural gases and its derivatives, sources and potential.
Unit V: Combustion appliance for solid, liquid and gaseous fuels.
Unit VI: Introduction to nuclear fuels.

Instructions:
  1. Keep the Excel File name as per your College ID. Different Sheets be used for different program’s and keep the sheet name as per program code.
  2. Scanned colored Passport size Photographs of the students should be in JPEG format(200dpi). The file name of the scanned photograph should be the roll number of the student.
  3. All data should be in one folder. Keep the folder name as per your college ID.
  4. The above soft data should be furnished on a CD to the programmer, EDP Centre and hard copy each page of which dully signed by Director/Principal to A.R(Conduct) of the university latest by 31 Oct. 2011.
  5. Exam Fee should be deposited in the shape of DD in favour of Registrar payable at SBI, DBCR University of Science & Technology, Murthal, Sonepat.
                It may be treated as most urgent.
