The matter relating to finalization of guidelines for fee concession in the University has been under consideration for some time past. A committee consisting of Dr. B. P. Malik, Dr. J. S. Saini, Dr. M. S. Dhankhar, Dr. C. Kabre and Dr. Narender Hooda was constituted to give recommendations in the matter. On consideration of recommendations of the committee, the following guidelines have been formulated with the approval of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for fee concession in the University:-

Clause ‘a’:-     Full Tuition fee concession upto 10% of the total strength, is to be granted to those students who are admitted in various UG/PG programmes during the academic session on the recommendations of the concerned Chairperson.  In case of re-appear, fee concession, if already granted, will be discontinued and will not be further revoked/ continued.

Clause ‘b’:-     Fee Concession to two children of the same parents will be as under:-
(i)                Elder child will pay full tuition fee.
(ii)              Younger child to pay half tuition fee.
In case of one student of weekend programme out of two children of the same parents, this concession will not be applicable.  In case of re-appear, fee concession will be discontinued and will not be further continued.

Clause ‘c’:-      50% concession of full fee to the University Employees and their dependents is admissible.  This will not be applicable in case of weekend programme. In case of re-appear, fee concession will be discontinued and will not be further continued.

Clause ‘d’:-     Fee concession on the pattern of DCRUST employees will also be admissible to the employees working at Head Office of the Directorate of Technical Education Haryana and Audit staff posted in this university provided that the benefit will remain available to the Audit staff till the semester/ half yearly period in which the same employee leaves this university.

Clause ‘e’:-      The children of the serving/retired military personnel upto the rank of NCO or of military personnel killed or incapacitated wholly or partly during the war, shall be allowed full tuition fee concession.

Clause ‘f’:-      Blind, physically handicapped students and wards of freedom fighters may, on an application, be granted full tuition fee concession.

Clause ‘g’:-     1/3^rd concession of the total fee may be granted to the students belonging to weaker sections of the society subject to submission of Yellow Card and Income Certificate of the competent authority.

Other terms and conditions are as under:-

1. A student may be considered only for one type of concession with higher benefit in case he/she is eligible for more than one type of concession.
2. Fee concession applications under clause ‘a’ may be considered in case of those students whose parent’s income is upto 2.50 lacs per annum.
3. The students who do not apply in 1^st year and apply in the next year/session, their cases will not be considered for all fee concessions.
4. If a student is getting any scholarship, he/she may be allowed to make a choice between the two.  In any case, two benefits shall not be granted simultaneously.
5. On the date of renewal, the student must have cleared all previous declared semester examination.  In case of re-appear, fee concession admissible under clause ‘a’ to ‘g’ will be discontinued.

These guidelines may be implemented with immediate effect.

3. Head Computer Centre to upload these guidelines alongwith the proforma for fee concession on University Websites.
4. All Branch Officers.
5. Supdt. to Vice-Chancellor (for kind information of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor).
6. P.A. to Registrar (for kind information of Registrar).
7. Notice Boards Teaching Departments and all Hostels - Applications for fee concession will be submitted by the students to their Chairperson by 24.09.2012.
